FOSSCOMM (Free and Open Source Software Communities Meeting) returns after 5 years at Heraklion, Crete. The team that organized the 2018’s meeting is back, and invites you on the 21-22 October’s weekend to the University of Crete, to exchange knowledge and ideas regarding open technologies, open standards, open data and the way they affect our lives, to get acquainted and celebrate the passion that unites us.

The meeting will include various tracks for technical subjects, and we hope that the presentations will satisfy all tastes and knowledge backgrounds, but will also have topics encompassing a broader spectrum of interests including the latest trends, legal, political and social matters regarding open technologies. The aim of the organizing team is to be welcoming to everyone, regardless of the background and knowledge level, and most importantly without any discrimination.

Announcements regarding the keynote speakers, the call for presentations and some surprises we have prepared for you (hint: Open HW, RISC-V, raki) will follow shortly. Until then you can find us on facebook and contact us via e-mail (check links and the bottom of the page).

Since we want to emphasize on teams / communities and open source projects, the booth and posters space will be exclusively for them, not for recruiting / advertisements etc of companies. If you are a company, you are welcome to present your open source projects during the meeting with a poster or a presentation, but no booths will be available for you.

If you represent a free / open source team / community / project and want to be present to the meeting through a booth, poster, swag etc you can contact us via e-mail.
