About FOSSCOMM

FOSSCOMM (Free and Open Source Software Communities Meeting) is the annual nationwide meeting of Greek FOSS communities. It is aimed at people engaged with the commons but primarily focuses on free software. Its objectives include fostering community interaction, showcasing free/open source software projects, providing information and raising awareness about technology-related issues and how they affect our lives. The content is determined by the organizing team and can range from technical matters and workshops, political discussions, legal/theoretical topics, translations and anything related to open standards/data, etc. Participation is free of charge, and there is no registration fee. While the presentations are mainly in Greek, presentations in English are also accepted.

Hundreds of participants take part in FOSSCOMM every year since 2008, and until today it has taken place in 10 different cities. The meeting this year is organized by rastapank radio, tolabaki hackerspace and the funding is based on sponsorships and donations from the community.
